The spring bi-annual nightshoot was held on March 6th, 2025. A large gathering of enthusiasts gathered for what turned out to be a relatively small but action-packed evening.
As usual, steps were positioned for ‘above the wing’ shots and most of the aircraft performed engine runs.
The British Army contingent departed towards the end of the evening, giving us the opportunity to capture the Leonardo AW159 Wildcat and Boeing AH-64E Apache with rotors turning.
The evening also saw the last participation by a Westland Puma HC2, with the type due to be retired at the end of March, after 54 years of service – a true workhorse.
The French Air and Space Force provided their usual excellent support, with a Casa CN235 and a Eurocopter EC725 Caracal and of course the Royal Canadian Air Force was also present, with a Lockheed CC-130J Hercules.
