My journey through to the NTM 2019 at Mont-de-Marsan took me via Toulouse Blagnac airport, home of course of Airbus Industries. I had some time to spare, so as well as visiting the nearby Ailes Anciennes and Airbus Aeroscopia museums, I spent some time on the hill overlooking the runways, capturing both scheduled visitors and test flight aircraft from Airbus.
Performing its first test flight was the Japan Air Lines Airbus A350-900. Some members of the inspection team from JAL were present on the hill and they were very excited to see the first flight, which lasted around 4.5 hrs. I captured a few images for them and tried to send them to them but unfortunately the email address they gave me hasn’t worked. If they happen to read this, please do get in touch!
